Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By using Uza Bidhaa Marketplace ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. User Accounts & Registration

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account, including your name, email, and phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Platform Payments & Safety

All payments for goods and services must be made through the Uza Bidhaa platform. For your safety, do not send money or make direct bank transfers to sellers outside the platform. Uza Bidhaa is not liable for any losses incurred from off-platform payments or direct arrangements made via chat or phone.

The platform uses secure payment processors (e.g., Paystack) and escrow for transactions. Disputes and refunds are handled only for payments made through the platform.

4. Messaging & Communication

The Service provides real-time messaging between buyers and sellers. You agree not to use messaging to solicit off-platform payments, share fraudulent information, or engage in any activity that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Phone numbers may be displayed to facilitate communication, but all transactions and payments must remain on-platform for your protection.

5. Content & Listings

You are responsible for any content, listings, images, or information you post. You must not post illegal, misleading, or inappropriate content. Uza Bidhaa reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

6. Prohibited Uses

  • Violating any applicable law or regulation.
  • Exploiting, harming, or attempting to harm minors.
  • Sending spam, unsolicited promotions, or fraudulent messages.
  • Impersonating Uza Bidhaa, its staff, or other users.
  • Attempting to circumvent platform security or payment systems.

7. Dispute Resolution

Disputes arising from transactions on the platform should be reported through the provided dispute resolution process. Uza Bidhaa will mediate disputes for payments made through the platform only. We do not mediate or take responsibility for disputes arising from off-platform payments or arrangements.

8. Limitation of Liability

Uza Bidhaa is not liable for any losses, damages, or claims arising from off-platform payments, direct bank transfers, or transactions not completed through the platform. Our liability is limited to the amount paid through the platform for the disputed transaction.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
